There is also a form of lupus called "drug induced lupus"...
This typically does not give elevated ANA...

The list of drugs that causes this grows by the day. Some people are more sensitive to this too.

I have had drug induced lupus reactions to two blood pressure drugs over the years... hydralazine and the ACE inhibitor lisinopril.

The lists keep changing. Type in your drug(s) names(s) to PubMed with the generic only name and qualifier lupus in the keyword. ACE inhibitors have just been added to the list recently.

People differ and some are just very sensitive to drug therapies.
