Sitke, I don't know if this is the same thing or not, but I've had instances all my life of walking, biking, driving, etc., and been so distracted/lost in thought that suddenly when I came out of it I was someplace I might not recognize for a few seconds to minutes, and not remember the intervening trip.

This has nothing to do with my headaches/migraines, and has never caused an accident. I can't say my brain shuts down or that I'm unaware of things; I'm just—as far as I can tell—just distracted/lost in thought/daydreaming.

What you're describing may be quite different(?)
