Dear Afternoon Tourist,

If you are having pain in your LOWER legs, it is NOT from Meralgia Paresthetica. MP involves the LFCN ( lateral femoral cutaneous nerve) and does not extend below the knees. While MP can be bilateral, that is not as common as unilateral. If you have been diagnosed with MP alone and have the same symptoms below the knees as you have in your thighs, I would STRONGLY recommend that you seek further investigation or another doctor.

You may be seeking treatment for the wrong diagnosis.
