Anxiety is a serious impediment to recovery. Your focus on "The next morning I feel maybe my tinnitus is a bit louder." is an anxiety reaction and not likely based on reality. As anxiety increases, our senses magnify anything we pay attention to.

It is common for tinnitus to sound louder just because of paying attention to it. The best way to deal with tinnitus is to learn to ignore it as much as possible.
