I feel that last night I finally got just a little sleep. I closed my eyes during a movie and then opened them an hour later. That groggy feeling you get after you wake up was present. After that, I closed them again and opened them to it being 1 1/2 hours later with the tv still on. I felt a little bit better mentally. Finally, I turned the tv off around 12-12:30(can't remember), and before I knew it, it was 4:30. I remember a dreamt some too. I tried to go back into my so called sleep, but couldn't even though I was still tired. I do recall smelling things that weren't there every time I woke, such as smoke or hair spray.... really weird. I don't know why I just keep losing my sleep ability. I mean, that's exactly what it is. Before all this happened with the flu, I couldn't keep myself from getting a deep sleep no matter how stressed, nervous, or whatever I was. This forces me to stay up, giving me the complete inability to sleep no matter what. I have to figure this out. This doesn't sound like sporadic fatal insomnia does it? This hasn't been progressive and my sleep got back to normal, completely, both times before this.I was on day 10 with no sleep and think I may have had a little bit last night, but question it. Why could this be happening? I was sleeping just fine, before each time this has happened, except this time there was no brain shakes to accompany it. Please help me on this. Fatal insomnia is progressive and doesn't just go away for a year and doesn't start with a sudden complete loss of sleep.
