For sleeping, only just try Unisom. It has the antihistamine in it and potential for much fewer interactions with other medications.
Unisom is typically more sleep inducing than Benadryl but it may have a drowsiness hangover too.

Yes, and my pharmacist told me that decongestants and my anti-seizure meds are often a bad combination, too. Since my accident, I never take any over the counter meds without talking first to the pharmacist. It's all too complicated for this addled layperson.
