My rehab doc also prescribed ritalin for me. It works and does make me less tired, but then I'm also more likely to overdo it. So I don't take the ritalin regularly. I use it occasionally if I know I have a day where I really need to be "on" and more awake and miss my nap. But if I use ritalin ONE day, I can count on needing 4-5 days to recover from it.

I use it very rarely... like less than one day a month... only for very special occasions. I think in 6 months, I've used it about 7-8 times.

I don't think I could tolerate it daily, but my doc is fine with me taking it this way. He's not ok with me taking it daily and overdoing it though.

I did not notice it improving memory issues, but I don't think taking it a day here or there really would address that.

Good luck, I hope it helps you.
