Dr. Andrew Weil had a suggestion several
Years ago on a TV program-- for self
Calming. I use this breathing technique for
Stomach spasms and the anxiety.
Take as deep a breath as you can thru your nose if possible.
Count to 8 slowly holding it if you can (do 6 counts if not),
and slowly exhale thru your mouth.
WAit a few seconds and repeat. 3 of these
Usually this will settle you nicely.. And stabilize
Your blood's acid/base system and
Reduce the physiological symptoms that
anxiety can cause.
