Now 40, my pain management doctor was my second supporting evaluation after injections failed who suggested the neurostimulator and it should help my lumbar area and sciatica down my left leg. They use St. Judes equipment. Glad I found this group prior to my future procedure.
Only because I have had positive experiences with both the neurostimulator trial and permanent implant do I encourage you to move forward with the trial. I don't think the brand makes any difference. When I was waiting in pre-op bed for my Boston Scientific I heard the conversation through the sheet wall . It was a man who has had a St. Jude for five years and bragging how great it is. He was in for a new battery. The trial is mild discomfort and will give you some idea if the implant would work for you. I do hope your insurance company approves the procedure.
Peace,
Mims
