wish it were not such a chore. I really need to be exercising. I am helping to plan a trip to new york next year in August with my parents. There will be lots of walking. I have a whole year to "train".

The good news is, even if you don't train for the city, the city will sure as hell train you!
Also city walking is different than tread mill. You do a lot when you do walk it, and you do some incline, too. Seriously, you will be fine for the trip.

Not trying to discourage you from exercising. The tread mill is good ... I hope you will be able to pick up going again. Like me with the stepper sigh. I put myself out of commissioin -- knee accident this morning, but when it feels better I really need to get with that program!
