The closest thing i could find to describe it online was an 'indian pressure massage,' which i think is an aruveydic (sp?) thing. I don't know if this is the correct term or not. She wasn't a massage therapist. She placed both her thumbs on the top of my head (i was in the shampoo chair), and pressed down HARD. She pressed about six times on my old injury over 5 minutes, the rest of the time she was massaging other parts of my head and doing the shampoo. The pressure she was doing felt uncomfortable, but not painful per se. That night I was feeling ok, but had pain at the site. Over the next several days the pressure in my head (left hemisphere) built and I was nauseated for at least a week. Also fatigue during the day, insomnia, feeling heavy headed, unsteady. Went to urgent care after one week (i couldn't believe the massage had actually done anything, but the symptoms don't lie). It was a total freak thing.
