I had the surgery three days ago and my recovery as been great. The surgery took about 3 hours and I stayed in the hospital for roughly 24 hours after surgery. The only complication was there was a slight puncture in my lung when the rib was removed, so my doctor had me stay in the hospital a few hours.

So far the pain as been minimal (I've been taking percocet, but not more than 1 dose a day). I have full motion with both hands and don't feel any pain when typing, etc. I haven't lifted my arm or done any intensive activity on the operated side, but I am still very surprised by the minimal pain.

After my surgery, it was confirmed that my first rib had been compressing my vein and the issue was solved. I have been diagnosed with TOS on both sides, so I am waiting on next steps.
