You will be sent home with a small gauze like bandage sealed with a clear waterproof top bandage, must keep it dry for a certain time (not sure how long), then you can remove bandage. You won't need to replace bandages yourself. The incision is not huge - a few inches long. My son did not have all the redness surrounding the incision in your image.
