Hi FreeWill80,

I started having sz. when I was your sons age and it sounds like he may be having sz. that have to do with his motor skils meaning that the area of his brain that controls his body motion may be triggering the sz.
Right now is a hard time for any kids your sons age to have sz. because they are growing up and the hormones in their body are changing which can often trigger sz. for many kids. My best advice to you is for your son to have the video e.e.g. it gets boring just laying in bed for a few days but the Drs. will have him on camera around the clock except when he's in the restroom and they will be able to see any possible sz. I had e.e.g's and they didn't show all of the scar tissue on my brain but when they did surgery on me to reduce my sz. they found bi lateral lesions on both temporal lobes that not a single test showed because the damage was to deep in my brain.
My best advice to you is to have your son see an Epileptologist at an Epilepsy Center and put him on vitamin B12 1000 mcg. for adults 500 mcg. for kids once a day this has greatly helped reduce my sz. also cut your son back on carbs and starch foods and maybe get him on the ketogenic diet which works great for kids the diet helps stop sz. and it's been around since 1927. By going on the diet you son may not have to take that many meds. I wish you and your son the best of luck and May God Bless the Both of You!

Sue
