For me, I need to take steps to reduce background stimulation/interference. I know that if there is too much other stimulation, my brain will be bouncing back and forth. If my wife wants to talk to me and the TV is on, she knows she needs to mute the sound for me to be able to focus on what she is saying.
I have never found any other solutions.
The problem is often that the injured brain has lost its ability to filter out background distractions. This is a physiological change/injury. Learning new ways to stay focused is likely the best solution.
