Happy Labor Day Everyone!!
Want to hear my stretch of broken logic for the day?
In the 1890's Labor Day began because railroad workers were working in very dangerous conditions and they felt they were under-appreciated and being treated poorly so they went on strike. They were striking for better working conditions among other things.
President Cleveland squashed the strike and created Labor Day to celebrate the workers.
Phineas Gage was one of the first recorded brain injury survivors and he was injured while working on building the railroad. His case is still studied in neurosciences to this day.
Here's where the broken logic comes in:
So Labor Day is really about celebrating brain injury survivors like us!!

(At least until we get a real national holiday...)
