When you got knocked out fighting, that was a serious concussion. Any blow to the head is at least a sub-concussive impact. They can add up quickly, especially if you get a number of blows to the head in a short period of time.
The brain loses tolerance for trauma the more trauma it is subjected to.
Find a neuro-ophthalmologist.
