I drastically reduced refined sugar and wheat products, which in turn has a positive effect on my health. That was about a year ago and now I am 2 waist sizes smaller and over 20 pounds lighter. The original goal was to loose weight, but there were other benefits. I 'feel' healthier, and my brain does work a 'little better', like a reduction in brain fog, and my memory issues are not so bad. But, most of all, I feel like I have a new body, or more accurately, my old body is back.
For anyone thinking about the wheat thing, be prepared to add a vitamin D supplement to replace what you are giving up. I'll add that gluten free is not synonymous with wheat free.
