Default CSF Otorrhea from encephalitis

It is now known that I have anti-NMDA Receptor encephalitis. At about the time of my most prevailing symptoms I began to leak fluid from my ear. It only happened while I was asleep laying down throughout the night. This lasted about 1.5 to 2 weeks. All the doctors said at the time it wasn't csf because my tympanic membrane was intact. Now that I know it was encephalitis, was it probably CSF fluid? How could it be if my tympanic membrane was intact? Please someone let me know if you had csf otorrhea with an intact tympanic membrane. Thanks!
