Hi fedup,

I am in the dental field and wish to clarify that root canaled teeth have an undetermined amount of "retainment" time in someones mouth. Because all root canaled teeth are infected, inflamed and unhealthy, there is no amount of "healthy" time that a rc tooth is retained. The procedure cannot and is not meant to "cure" the infection or stop or prevent the proliferation of bacteria. It is done to "retain" a tooth that will never be healthy again.

You said that you removed your teeth and wear a partial denture. Is that denture comfortable for you?
