I've had PN for almost 4 years and am still searching for shoes & socks that work. I'm also flat footed so I need custom made orthotics in my shoes.

For work/dress shoes I've had the most luck with Soft Spot Supremes, they have plenty of room since for my orthotics.

For casual I live in my Birkenstock sandals or clogs. Being flat footed I can't even walk around the house without the sandals. The cork footbed acts like an orthotic and if it wasn't fo these I don't know what I would do.

I'm still searching for tennis shoes & socks that I can wear to the gym though.

For black socks the Worlds Softest socks seem to have some promise, I just bought some this past month.

Good Luck

My PN is considered Critical Illness Neuropathy. In October 2010 I left for a golf trip not feeling well, woke up in a hospital 21 days later. I was in an induced coma for treatment of Legioneers Disease. First day out of ICU I noticed the pain in my feet and as they say the rest is history.
