Oooo, shlippers, I might have to see about making some prototypes I do have an ancient sewing machine that still needs it's power cord replaced or a treadle attached to it, but it can do cobbling.

Soft suede soles like the ballerina shoes, fair amount of fluffy feet loving padding, maybe using some memory foam... Padding to about the depth of a sneaker's sole, coming up to wrap the foot in additional padding before building the body of the shoe... A nice patent leather loafer/saddle shoe style, or even a converse-like canvas... A bit of rubber to 'hide' the padding and give a mock 'sole'. So no one would know you're sporting shlippers

Ahhh, better still making sure there's a way to also replace the sueded sole, so they can last longer, and an attachable acrylic plate for the bottom so they can be worn outside even if the ground is damp....

Though if you didn't use rubber but a lightweight plastic instead just as the sole surround its feasible that they could be made interchangeable, snap on a patent leather Mary Jane style for going out on the town, snap on a bootie for those chilly northern morning, off to the grocers? Well just snap on the sneaker skin slip them on and shlip your way down frozen foods.

Who here watches tv? What's that show about money for ideas? Shark tale or something? When are they do casting calls again? Lol
