My recommendation is to discuss the results with a neurologist or neurosurgeon in your area regarding the dural ectasia or look on line under dural ectasia to get an idea what this is. Second, I would contact the Tarlov Cyst Foundation and speak with Reta Honey Hiers to advise you what you need to know about the 2 large Tarlov cysts. Third, see website under Dr. Frank Feigenbaum, neurosurgeon (expert in tarlov cysts) in Dallas, TX for more information regarding Tarlov cysts. What are your symptoms? I have 5 Tarlov cysts from S1-S3. Dr. Feigenbaum recommended surgery and I am contemplating whether to have surgery or not. Most neurologists and neurosurgeons are not familiar with Tarlov cysts and dismiss Tarlov cysts as incidental findings on MRI's. You need the best to find out what options you have to decide. Tarlov Cyst Foundation and Dr. Feigenbaum are the best resources for finding information.
