Default Sleep Dr said I should be dead! Ever hear that?

No joke. Going for another sleep study Tues. to try for reasons I've gotten so bad. Very new on forum and wd like to hear if anyone else has had such a change in their Apnea...I have CPAP which, for 3 years was low...5% pressure

I did some pretty heavy meds which thankfully rid me of the Hep C I carried for 35 years. My fatigue over the past 2 yrs has been getting worse ea. month. But I've had a lot of med. issues, like many in their 60's. Being cured from the hep may have saved my life another way. 2nd day of the immunosuppressants hit me with a 'new' type of fatigue, I'd fall asleep in my cereal, hubby would put me back to bed but I couldn't sleep well. Night reversed, so didn't sleep at all. After the great news of clearing the virus, a mo. later, liver doc sent me to university Pulmonary doc who did a sleep study ASAP cause I wasn't waking up right away or if I did, I would have knee jerks and couldn't walk right away.

So results come in, can we come right down..gulp ...Dr looks at me then tells my hubby he is lucky to still have me! Ok, I freaked! He went on to tell us my blood oxygen dropped to 18 (should be 90+) before CPAP but I was lucky that I did not stroke out or have a heart attack! Got my attention. He had a nurse come to the home next day, upped my pressure from 4 or 5 to 15 and tried a diff mask. Oh...doc also told hubby that if he could not wake me (yes, happened a couple of times that it took 45 min to get me up) to A. Not Wait that Long, B.take my pulse ox and if under 80 to call 911. That was last week.

Sorry this is so long but laying here with CPAP on, close to 3 am, exhausted but nope...can't sleep. Guess being on a med forum is not the most relaxing but just found you all and well, has anyone else's blood oxygen ever gone this low?
Anyway, hugs to all for listening & may you all be having sweet dreams at this hour. Peace and Health...ReneeTina
