I have just received a report from a mri. My last one before this mentions just a few mild things and no movement. I have to wait 3 weeks to see my family dr. I was told this place was good for some info. I tried searches using a few of these terms, no matches that i could relate to. The meds I am taking now really limit me,it just seems the future will be more painful. I thank those who respond.
Indications: lower back pain
Technique: A variety of imaging planes and parameters were ulilizied for visualization
Finding:
Paraspinal area bones: normal with no visible mass.
L5 pars interarticularis defect on both sides with anterolisthesis of L5 over S1 by 12mm. Vertebral heights are preserved without
fracture. There is retrolistesis of L1 over L2 by 3 mm. L5-S1 type 2 discogenic degenerative vertebral endplate marrow signal
changes.
Cord/Cauda Equina: Normal caliber, contour, and signal intensity
Other: None
LUMBAR DISC LEVELS:
L1-L2: Retrolisthesis of L1 over L2 by 3mm. The disc is severly desiccated and decreased in height with a minor circumferential
bulge. There is a facet arthrosis and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy. No spinal stenosis or forminal narrowing.
L2-L3: Mildly desiccated disc. Mild facet arthosis. No spinal stenosis or forminal narrowing.
L3-L4: The disc is moderately desiccated with circumferential 2 mm bulge. There is a facet and ligamentum flaum hypertrophy. No
spinal stenosis or forminal narrowing.
L4-L5 The disc is mildly desicacated. There is a mild facet and ligamentum flaum hypertrophy. No spinal stenosis or forminal
narrowing.
L5-S1: L5 pars interarticularis defect on both sides. Anterolisthesis of L5 over S1 by 12mm. The disc is severely decreased in height
and uncovertebral posteriorly with a vacuum change and marginal osteophytes. Severe facet arthrosis and ligamentum flavum
hypertrophy.Severe bilateral foraminal stenosis with severe compression of exiting l5 nerve root on both sides. No spinal stenosis or
lateral recess narrowing.
Conclusion

your screwed)
1. L5-S1 grade 1-2 isthmic spondylolisthesis with severe facet arthrosis. Bilateral severe foraminal stenosis with severe compression
of exiting L5 nerve root on both sides. No spinal stenosis.
2. L1-L2 grade 1 degenerative retrolisthesis. No spinal stenosis or neural compression
