The generic name is ropinerole. I did take it for years, but it didn't work effectively so my neuro has put me on a patch. the smallest dose didn't work well enough so he has doubled it.
I never got weak or wobbly from it. I think one of the reasons they tell you to take it an hour before bed is twofold: 1)it will be most effective when you sleep; 2)if it does make you wobbly or weak, you're in bed so it won't affect your awake time functioning.
