I started receiving low dose, outpatient ketamine infusions in April 2010. I returned to my FT job in June of 2010 after a one year LOA. To date I've had 122 treatments. I typically go for 2 days in a row every 4-5 weeks. My dose is now 325 mg. per day.

My ketamine is administered via IV through my chest port. It is mixed in a small bag of saline solution first, and my nurse administers Versed, Zofran, and Toradal as needed well. I take Ativan after the infusion.

My doctor is Pradeep Chopra, he and his staff are wonderful. I had a chest port implanted a year or so ago and it has made the process of getting an IV much easier. Dr. Chopra has also adjusted my meds to include LDN and many supplements.

The link above to Kaitlyn Pintor's story is awesome. I also recommend the links on the RSDSA's website. You can find some great educational videos from their latest conferences - Dr. Chopra, Dr. Getson and several others.

Please let me know if you have any specific questions on the process.

All the best to you, Sandy
