i don't belive you can have both at the same time. I am on long term disability and have work comp claim going that has been denied. My work insurance made me file for social security disability also. Which just yesterday was denied. If I am awared the work comp my long term disability wants all the money they have paid me paid back to them. So I imagine it would be the same with the SSD. But I am very psoitive you can not have both at the same time.
