Over the last couple years I've had to attend 2 independent medical exams which required travelling a couple hours each way, I survived a 2 day functional capacity exam which I was certain was going to kill me but it didnt and I had neuropsych testing done.
All of these things set me back considerably in my recovery but only for a while. It took awhile sometimes a few days sometimes a week or more but I did recover from every setback.
I think with every new thing we go through we should expect to have a setback Thats just how things are now. I measure my progress now by how fast I can recover from these relapses.
When I decided to stop worrying about what could happen as a result of the stresses of testing to how am I going to deal with the increased fatigue and headaches and other intensified symptoms my anxiety levels went way way down .
