thanks all. I like the idea of visualizing it falling off. I'll have to try that.

I still have it now. It did go away on a couple days, but the moment I get into a situation of conflict, stress, overworking myself.. the invisible scarf comes back!

Yes, around the waist was my first run-in with this type of sensation, though now that others have mentioned it, I've felt similar sensations around my fingers and toes over the years.

I guess the fact that this is around the neck and uncomfortable made me sit up and take notice. Ugh!
