Hi and welcome to NT.

Although it probably seems like forever, two months is a relatively recent injury in the TBI world. My guess is the reduced libido is related to the stress, anxiety and irregular sleep.

The Wellbutrin can also cause lowered libido and ED, and while it's unlikely assuming you had a normal libido prior to the injury, just to cover all bases I'd suggest getting your testosterone levels checked.

While all brain injuries are different, my guess is that the low libido and performance is not permanent and will improve. In the interim I'd ask the MD about a prescription for ED medications. I had ED following my injury and found the ED medications to be very effective (I've used Levitra, Stendra, and Cialis, all of which work well). Only caution here is they can cause dizziness so be careful if that is one of your symptoms from the concussion.

Best to you in your continued recovery.

What Happened: On November 29, 2010, I was walking across the street and was hit by a light rail commuter train. Result was a severe traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures (skull, pelvis, ribs). Total hospital stay was two months, one in ICU followed by an additional month in neuro-rehab. Upon hospital discharge, neurological testing revealed deficits in short term memory, executive functioning, and spatial recognition.

Today: Neuropsychological examination five months post-accident indicated a return to normal cognitive functioning, and I returned to work approximately 6 months after the accident. I am grateful to be alive and am looking forward to enjoying the rest of my life.
