walked 7 miles in 2 hours on tred mill. 3.5 miles of which I walked at a 3% incline. I was surprised that I finished I felt so tired.

Be careful. If the balls of your feet are hurting -- other things are wrong too -- knees, back. . .
You do not need to do the incline.
I researched this.
There is no benefit in it.
