Before I was able to start walking again, I joined a senior yoga class at our community center. Most of the poses are done seated, and it was just the right pace and level for me. ETA: I am not a senior! I was in my thirties at the time, but the seniors were very welcoming and supportive.
Gradually I was able to start walking, but I did have to start very slowly and stop after just a short distance. Eventually I was able to work up to 4+miles in under an hour, but this took quite a few months.

Was experiencing:
Persistent headaches, fatigue, slowed cognitive functions, depression
Symptoms exacerbated by being in a crowd, watching TV, driving, other miscellaneous stress & sensory overload
Sciatica/piriformis syndrome with numbness & loss of reflex
