I do not have PCS but the reference to PTSD caught my attention so I hope you don't mind if I respond. I have PTSD

I have never heard of Post traumatic hyperirritability syndrome and there doesn't seem to be much information about it. I did run across this article:

From the little bit I have found and read, Post-Traumatic Hyperirritability is not the same as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The link below and the link above might help you to understand the difference, at least I hope so
