Hi ethansai,
I am in the dental field and can offer you some information here,
Any chance you could post xrays of your teeth to give a radio- graphic view to put together with your written description? Your teeth numbers don't exactly make match up with your description.
Anytime you have such extensive dental work, you are going to experience various post op symptoms related to the trauma that many of your teeth have experienced just by being drilled upon. Each time a tooth is drilled into, especially for preparation of crowns, there is a chance of irreversible nerve damage. So the nerves in your teeth are traumatized by the drilling and that will hopefully calm down. But it may linger for a bit in some areas more than others. The gum tissue is also upset as it has been separated a bit from the bone to accommodate new crowns and some of those crowns may be at the gingival (gum) margin, others may be a bit shy of that margin, and others may be below that margin. All of which cause inflammation to occur. Another issue is that your bite has changed and your jaw muscles are a bit confused. So your bite may need further adjustment here and there until the muscular areas settle down.
If you could, the xrays would be helpful in answering your questions.
Thanks,
Bryanna

I have just finished bridge work for 15 teeth in the lower jaw in the following configuration (from left to right):
8 - My tooth :-)
Bridge 1:
7 - Vital, but filled
6 - Missing
5 - Vital, but filled
4 - Vital
3 - Non Vital
Bridge 2 (tooth were OK, but for aesthetic purposes decided so):
2 - Vital
1 - Vital
1 - Vital
2 - Vital
Bridge 3:
3 - Non vital with screw (forgive the term, but I think you'll understand)
4 - Missing
5 - Vital
6 - Missing
7 - Missing
8 - Non vital with screw
The bridge work was finished Last Saturday.
Today is Friday and is almost one week from it.
I have been having tooth ache, gum ache, ache since.
I have been using OKI for pain relief, basically half a dosage(child dosage) every 8 hrs or so, and the pain goes away, but it still returns in different places.
My worries are simple:
How long should I wait for everything to settle down in a normal scenario?
Should I continue taking OKI?
Should I use anything for gums or teeth?
Thanks in Advance!
