That is NOT an easy question to answer...there are many factors involved. Yes, insurance may pay for either BUT it all depends on your (documented) Dx.
You need to know if the PN is inflammatory based for steroids to have any impact. The IVIG is used for autoimmune based neuropathies and some other cases, but is VERY expensive (co-pays can even be out of reach for some as well---all depending on what your ins pays).
