Unsuccessful work attempts are considered evidence that you've attempted to adapt by trying new jobs.

(You need to concentrate on proving you were disabled at the time of your Alleged Onset Date. Your current application is NOT claiming you've been unable to work for the past 8 years. It will be much harder to prove you qualified 8 years ago, so you're not helping by trying to prove something you no longer qualify for anyway. You or your attorney chose to amend the Alleged Onset Date to make it easier to be approved. If you don't take advantage of the easier standard of approval, then what was the point of waiving your rights to the back pay prior to your latest Alleged Onset Date?)
