Default Angioplasty for temporary relief?

I was recently diagnosed w/ vtos on my left side. I had an angioplasty a few weeks ago where they put small balloons in my vein to open it up a little bit, and am also on blood thinners. So far my symptoms have gotten better but im waiting for the day where it begins to wear off and they return. Has anyone else had any success with this procedure. Are having these every 2-3 months a long term solution and alternative to a first rib resection which was recommended for my case? Will these, coupled with some PT or something similar help me avoid surgery for say, the next 10 years. Any info will be appreciated. I am a very active person, my college major is geared toward being very active in the woods, and I love lifting weights. I am very nervous about losing all of this.
