Don't be surprised if your doctors don't seem to care that you're numb.
That's the thing that I had a hard time wrapping my head around the first time I had something go numb. The fact that doctors don't see numbness as a serious symptom. It's not a serious symptom. It's uncomfortable, and to the person experiencing it. It feels like it's serious.
But, doctors don't see it that way, and a lot of times they forget that *we* don't know that. They don't tell us that we shouldn't worry about it. To us, it looks like they don't care. (the jury is still out on that one. There are times that I don't think my doctors give an <expletive> about me.)
