I have something similar symptoms (amongst other things). Lucky the finger thing you are talking about has past with myself, my fingers use to turn white. I have had no luck, they just chuck it under nerve paraesthesia. I don't know why but i found when getting the nerve pain throughout my body panadole seemed to make it worse. Morphine based pain relief didn't take a scrap of pain away, so i don't bother with it anymore. Hot showers sometimes feel like they make it worse. When the pain is absent or the best its going to get, go for walks, low key excercise, nothing straining, as i also feel this could be a possible trigger sometimes. Give warm up and cool down stretches a shot before strenuous or repetitive activity, maybe?. I also feel sometimes going from the heat outdoors to air conditioning might play a part, and vice versa. Don't sit still for too long because i know how painful it is when you have this and get pins and needles. When you sleep, try use pillows to prop yourself comfortably. I'm sorry i have no set advice to give, just personal speculations.
