Aww, I'm sorry Bizi.
Regarding Harriet. Those I think are no-win situations. Hind sight would lead to a guilt trip either way. If you had had her put down earlier, you would be wondering if she might have survived with the surgery. You did the best you could for her, with the information you had at the time. You are a good cat-mommy.
