I find it amazing how quickly medical professionals will throw tricyclic antidepressants like nortriptyline at people who just suffered traumatic brain injuries without a second thought. Granted there is some benefit to them in that they can be used to treat migraines but their side effects are documented and plentiful.

It seems the accepted course of treatment for PCS is targeting symptoms, instead of targeting the source of the problems. The truth is there is no treatment for PCS. I, myself, was prescribed amitriptyline to aid in my sleep and for the headaches and noticed an increase in the tremors. It shows you that it really is a big money game for the pharmaceutical companies.
