I learned from trial and error to avoid busy places as much as possible fairly quickly. It did get better for me eventually, now I can usually go to a grocery store without too much problems. Still avoiding movie theaters though, might try it soon.
I have the same issue with sleep, sometimes I can fall asleep and will have deep sleep for at least 4 hours, most of the time I struggle to fall asleep and wake frequently, and my sleep is "shallow".
I used to get really bad sweats at night, to the point where I thought I wet myself. Now I do get shivering chills sometimes during the day.
Anxiety and panic attacks are a definite problem for me. I'm kind of lucky that I live alone and have no kids. So I can fairly easy regulate level of stress in my life. I was going through a high stress situation this summer and it wrecked havoc on my mental state. I had constant anxiety and panic attacks, every day for several months.
Once I was done with the problem causing my stress, everything really calmed down over the course of a couple months. Now I do get occasional anxiety here and there, but it's not too bad compared to how it was.
