Default Root Canal Treatment in the UK

Hi Bryanna,

This is my first thread and discussion on the web site. It's been interesting reading on RCT treatment you discussed earlier and wonder if the methods applied are the same in the UK?

I have an amalgam filling replaced some years again with a white filling and the dentist failed to note that the lower molar tooth had a hole this year after the gum had become infected. After rounds of anti-biotics, the tooth was RCT with the crown to follow next year. I have noticed a hard lump under the gum/bone several weeks after the RCT and now concerned by what I have read regarding cysts etc.

I have had recent nose bleeds and now been put on stronger anti-biotics. What I have read has concerned me, as the industry is putting profit before people's health, which seems endemic with the world we live in today. I am now at the point of going back to have the tooth removed. Would you agree this is the best way forward?

The problems have been on-going for at least 6 months, with terrible toothache previously before RCT.

Many thanks in advance.
