SweetC,

I call it a weird feeling...it happens to me for the same reasons as you mention.

I don't know how to describe it to my wife so I call it that "weird feeling".I notice it first in my head and within 5 minutes or so it settles over my body and I get weak feeling and somewhat disoriented. Rest settles it down.
