torture and chronic pain
Hey there Idealist! Sorry I don't have any info regarding that pamphlet, but I totally understand what you're talking about. Chronic pain is more isolating than a terminal disease -- at least then people come to visit. Family seems to get tired of/bored with the whole thing. Their lives go on without us. Our own self-esteem and worth goes down the drain.
Every day is another 24 hours of torture for so many of us with chronic pain. Nothing really works to alleviate the pain, nobody wants to hear our complaints, etc. Guess living this way is very similar to fighting a daily "war".
