There are some really helpful books mentioned in that list if you're able to borrow them from the library or buy them yourself. "Brain Lock", "The Imp of the Mind" and "Passing for Normal" come to mind. The info for those books is in the list. There are more.

It really would be helpful to get some professional counselling for yourself if these obsessions and/or compulsions are interfering with your daily life.
