Tricare for Life is different than regular Tricare. They will pick up 100% of anything Medicare covers but doesn't pay (ALL the 20% left over).

You just need to make sure "regular" Medicare is accepted at Mayo. They used to accept Medicare (just not those Medicare HMO plans)...but I don't know what they do now. But I have Tricare for Life and NEVER have a co-pay for anything as long as it is a Medicare covered service.

Call Tricare as well just to make sure you are not limited where you can go. I travel to Hopkins and Medicare and Tricare for Life covers EVERY penny.
