Problems with physical therapy also - makes me worse
I was interested to read the responses to the issue of PT. I have both RSD and Fibro. Tried warm water therapy once for about 8 sessions. It was impossible for me to do all the repetitions they assigned to me. It really made the pain worse. I just did the minimal and as soon as the pain started I stopped. Lucky for me - I "did my own thing" as I would have ended up much worse. Then the next year I tried again. Forget it - same problems with repetitions causing pain. Phys. Ther. just don't understand that our bodies do not "work through" the pain and then /miraculously are pain free. Perhaps it works for some fibro or RSD individuals but my experience with PT or any repetitons ( even typing, walking and steps affects knees, soles of feet, etc. ). I must be so careful not to do anything which is repetitive especially in new muscle areas. Sounds like you had the same problem Alan - sorry about your shoulder experience.
OK I typed too much - now my hands ache.
Best wishes to all
