Your question is very confusing. You are trying to mix too many ideas.
Basically, neuro-regeneration does happen. But, it is very slow and not complete. It has little to do with other disease processes although they can have a minor impact. When you read about research, you need to be aware of the limited scope of that research.
The brain does not have the ability to regenerate large areas.
Are you trying to address issues specific to your concussion 7 years ago ?
What symptoms are you still struggling with ?
